A safe level of radon according to the EPA is below 4, but our goal is to bring the radon levels low as possible.

What is a high level of Radon?

Any radon level above 4 is required that you install the radon mitigation system. The higher the level of radon the faster the chances of getting lung cancer.

Does radon cause health problems? If so , what kind?

Radon is a carcinogen and radon is known to cause lung cancer.

How does radon get into my house?

Radon typically enters in through the lower half of your home. The lower part of your home is under pressure, so it's constantly trying to suck air from underneath the slab. As a result, radon can come in through cracks or the sump pump.

How do I know if the radon system is working?

The only way to know if the radon system is working is to do a post mitigation test. We are not allowed to do the test because it's a conflict of interest. However, we provide you with a test kit so that you or the home owners can do the test. You can also hire a professional to do it for you.
